I’m working on meeting new people and re-meeting old ones.

Let’s grab a coffee and chat.

In Nashville, TN since 1996.

Doing something imperfectly is infinitely better than doing nothing perfectly.

Infrequently Asked Questions

💣 What are the things I bomb intentionally?

I intentionally bomb things that I don’t care about. To juggle the important things, I pride myself in leaving some balls on the ground. I purposefully fail at pop culture, sports, TV shows, social media, news, lawn care, fashion, and home decor.

(I promise that I still keep up with friends and that my home is indeed livable.)

💬 What is one piece of advice I’d give anyone?

Progress will never and SHOULD never be perfect. It won’t look like a straight line directly to your goal. Positive change will look jagged, with ups and downs; you may even fall below where you started. Ultimately, though, if you anticipate the failures and setbacks along the way, you will bounce back and your progress will trend where you aim.

📊 What are my values?

I value my family, relationships, personal growth, financial freedom, creativity, contribution, mental and physical health, curiosity, and adventure. I believe in treating everyone with kindness and giving positive feedback in every interaction.

I do not value money, status, image, or comfort. I do not care about social conventions or expectations.

🤪 What is the weirdest thing about me?

I can’t burp…

Yep, exactly like it sounds. Whether I drink a White Claw® or talk while I eat, I can’t burp. I only do this weird gurgle noise that my girlfriend is strangely obsessed with.

🧐 What’s an unpopular opinion I hold?

I believe that labels tell you nothing about a person and should be actively ignored. (Yes, even the ones at the top of this page.) Labels for your occupation, your top hobbies, or even your favorite teams reinforce tribalism and keep you confined. Tell people what you do and what you like, not who you are.

❌ What is the most recent thing I’ve failed at?

I fail constantly. Most recently, I stopped working on my mobile app idea when a TikTok trend came close to the same concept. Perfectionism has crippled my ability to finish projects my entire life and this was no exception. I was afraid to continue to put effort into something that would have been less than perfectly original. It is one of my best case studies in my road to perfectionism recovery.

Teams I’ve worked with

“It’s counterintuitive, but if you value money, comfort, or convenience over your own creativity, you jeopardize all four.”
